The holiday food drive goes virtual!

This year, the holidays will be quite different for all of us. As more Montréal families face financial hardships brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, food insecurity continues to grow. Since March, requests for food assistance have doubled and we are registering about 20 new households per week. These are individuals and families who have never used our food bank before. We serve about 230 households per week, delivering food boxes filled with healthy, nutritious food right to their doorstep.

Most importantly though, this year we will not be able to rely on our annual holiday food drive to stock our food bank shelves for the months ahead. As most offices are closed and employees are working from home, we cannot count on receiving the same quantities of donated goods. We are thus asking our supporters to help us fill our shelves through our virtual food drive.

You can now donate to and fundraise for our food drive right from the comfort and safety of home. Financial donations have a greater impact in fighting hunger in the community.
