It is with great pleasure that the Fondation Jean-Pierre Perreault invites you to celebrate the launch of its 2021–2022 programming—with lively conversation, joy, and bubbles—on Thursday, November 25, at 5 p.m., at the Conseil des arts de Montréal.

We have an exciting evening lined up, with plenty of surprises in store, including:

  • The announcement of our new name and mission statement
  • A performance by Kama La Mackerel, our guest artist for the year in progress

We’ll be presenting our projects for the upcoming year:

  • Seismography. Recording Perils, Injuries and Loss in Dance, led by Catherine Lavoie-Marcus
  • Françoise Sullivan : ce pas qui vient de soi, a video on the artist’s choreographic career, directed by Xavier Curnillon, with research and interviews by art historian Gilles Lapointe
  • A project on the teaching legacy of Angélique Willkie, headed by Emmanuelle Bourassa Beaudoin and Natalie Zoey Gauld
  • Ancestral Memories in Dancing Bodies, a booklet inspired by a workshop of the same name, with drawings by Youloune
  • In My Body, a work in progress by Yvon Soglo, a.k.a Crazy Smooth
  • Tracement, a virtual exhibition dedicated to dance artists specializing in supporting choreographic projects, by Sophie Michaud

We’ll also be unveiling our new website, which showcases better than ever our projects and the artists we work with!

Finally, we’ll be launching our first-ever fundraising campaign to help support all these exciting initiatives.

Join us for wine, finger foods and lots of catching up!

We can’t wait to see you all again and celebrate dance together!

Masks must be worn throughout the evening – except while eating and drinking! Reservation for the evening is strongly recommended. You will be asked for your vaccine passport at the entrance.
