Due to the current flooding and natural disasters in the Fraser Valley, hundreds of Temporary Foreign workers have been displaced. To date, 234 workers have reached out to us for support and we know that more are to come. By making a generous donation, you will help us provide basic needs such as food, hygiene products, clothing, and more.

Temporary Foreign Workers have been part of Canadian Agriculture for many years.  Each year, thousands of Temporary Foreign workers are hired to assist during planting and harvesting season in Canada. However, they do not have the same rights as other workers in Canada, nor the same support. In this moment, you can help us continue to support Temporary Foreign Workers that have been displace by the current natural disasters in the Fraser Valley by making a donation that will directly support their needs.

The YMCA is part of the Migrant Worker Support Network and has supported 3,506 workers so far this year. As a network we have helped 10,141 workers one-on-one and 3,900 workers in groups and outreach across BC.
